Launched on October 24, 2003 at the Museo Pambata ng Maynila. An effort by the Philippine Bible Society to make the Bible more accessible and entertaining to children. The scriptures were written in Filipino and presented in colorful illustrations making it more enjoyable to read by parents and children. Cal Sobrepeņa was commisioned to do the illustrations. It was his most challenging project, he had never done so many illustrations without an assistant in one project. It took him more than 200 illustrations, in the New Testament alone, he has done 129 of them. True enough, his works on the Children's Bible was one of his best! |
